Open data: car boot sales

Organisers list their car boot once on Eventris; anyone may copy, republish and build on the data, including commercially, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. There are 0 listings today.

Get the data

  • JSON: GET https://staging.eventris.app/open-data/v1/car-boots.json
  • XML: GET https://staging.eventris.app/open-data/v1/car-boots.xml (the same document; lists become repeated elements: listings/listing, dates/date, entry_prices/price)
  • iCal per listing: GET https://staging.eventris.app/open-data/v1/car-boots/{slug}.ics

The /v1/ URLs are stable: a change that could break a reader gets a new version, and the old one keeps running alongside it. The unversioned URLs (/open-data/car-boots.json) always serve the current version.

Licence and attribution

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Wherever you show the data, credit it as:

Source: Eventris

with a link to this page (https://staging.eventris.app/open-data) or to the listing's own url where you show a single listing. Please also show cancellations: a reader who drives to a rained-off car boot blames whoever told them it was on.

Personal data

None. The feed carries only what each organiser chose to publish as their business contact. Never use it to send marketing to an organiser who has not agreed to it.

Updates, caching and limits

  • Live: organisers change their listings at any time, and a cancellation shows within 5 minutes.
  • Responses carry ETag and Last-Modified. Send If-None-Match / If-Modified-Since and you get 304 Not Modified when nothing changed.
  • Please fetch at most every 15 minutes. Each address may make 60 requests a minute across all open data URLs; beyond that the answer is 429.
  • CORS is open (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *), so you can fetch it from a web page.
  • Only dates from today onwards are included.
